I have to be honest, I am not OK with this. Not trying to be the bad guy here, and I totally understand the situation and my heart goes out to Will, but rules are rules. I had to get up in the morning in Japan to come and do this challenge...would the same leniancy been given to me had I not done the challenge, since I had been active the entire game? Methinks probably not.
I just think this is really unfair and that you have now handed the game over to the other team, whereas before at least it was even because those are the people that did it. In real Survivor nobody would be allowed to miss for any reason.
I know this is totally painting me out to be the bad guy here, but it just seems a little unfair to do this after the fact. And with that I will be voted out of the game.

I understand where u are coming from, first off i think ur trip to Japan and a death are totally differnt but yes since u have been so active i would have made changes for u. whenever anyone has explained a situation that may take "breaking" the rules i have looke dinto and done that for them. in this game and in my others.
easyest way to settle this
Everyone who is left post here and let me know if will can stay or not
Rafe i have ur choice
what ever the most ppl think is what will be done

I think that it's perfectly fair for Will to re-join this game. I mean, he has been active up to this point. It's not like he could help it. Rafe was just lucky enough to send a score in.
Rafe, you'd want to come back if you were in Will's position.

Like I said thanks for painting me as the bad guy...I thought the host was supposed to be impartial.
I didn't say I didn't UNDERSTAND, I just think its not necessarily fair, like I said, I am actually friends with Will and my heart goes out to him, honestly, but you asked if we thought it was fair...I was just voicing my opinion. I am not trying to pick a fight...and no Rolly I have to disagree with you, if I were not in on time no matter what the circumstances I would understand and just join a new game eventually. Honestly. But that's me...if Will comes back I wish him the most luck in the world. Seriously. I was just voicing my opinion as we were asked to do, and I wanted to be honest.

I am impartial and not trying to paint u as a bad guy. my choice was to let him come back. it would have been the same choice had u told me u couldnt post a score and were in japan. the twist was to get rid of inactives not active ppl.
I believe my choice is he right choice i believe it is fair. I am the host and i am going to end this debate now and say will is in the game. Everyone who has played any of my other games knows if u ask for special consideration u get it. Will is no differnt and has been in the most difficult situation yet.

k well I'm on the same page with Rafe really. It is a tricky situation. The simple truth is that any special consideration being given to Will on the basis of his personal loss is understandable, but kinda hard for us to know if we're just being played or not.
Rather than waiting until a couple of days after the event to alert us that there was a problem, perhaps a one line post at any point prior to that would have done the trick. Frankly I don't know the player of Will and as far as I know it's all just a play that the Snowstorm group came up with when they saw the balance of survivors.
Sorry if that sounds bad, but I don't actually know any of the people in real life, and I have seen worse things done to win games.

i know I'm eliminated, but i have followed this just to see how it goes... And I have to say I understand where Avalanche is coming from.. They came into the merge with a huge advantage over Snowstorm because, quite frankly, they whooped our butts in the challenges. . then the merge equalized it (because it was 3-3) and now it is unequal with snowstorm having a 4-3 advantage... It basically means that everything that Rich, Rafe, and Alla worked for, to get an advantage at the merge was for nothing.
I do realize this is an awkward situation, but from Avalanche's perspective it sucks for them. They worked hard and, quite frankly deserved to come in with the upper hand, and now they have the lower hand.
I think it is important to look at it not just from the personal side, but from Avalanche's side as well.

Well it's not a "play" we are trying to pull here...or at least not one I was involved in. Anyways-it's really the host's decision I don't want to be arguing with anybody.....not like it's my situation. So I won't speak here.

Ok, i can see both sides to it. For the Avalanche side, they have worked hard to get where they are and they don't deserve to be picked off one by one now.
But for Will's side. He's been going through a lot and you'd feel the same way if you were in his position.
so yea i can see both sides so i say leave it up to the Host.

Guys I am really sorry for opening a can of worms. Again it was just my opinion. I am not trying to be insensitive or anything, but Charla hit it on the head. I feel like we are getting punished in all this, but I also know its not Will's fault.
I'm sorry I brought this up.

Well Will, that's my point. I don't know what you would do or not do, I don't know you at all. If that's "Soooooooo Rudeeee" then sobeit. I wasn't going to let Rafe stand out alone in saying that there are problems with this situation. Probably you're totally innocent of any misdeed and it's all just unfortunate timing, but sadly the entire game has probably been invalidated by this thread and the voting implications of it, so I'm just being as honest as I can be.
I had originally said nothing about this publicly, and had just made some points in my journal and to the other former Avalanche players. I just thought we'd have to play it out regardless of how dodgy it appeared. I didn't think it could actually come up in public and be discussed without having implications for how people vote in the future and even in the current immunity challenge. Now that it's happened I may as well be the bad guy so that Rafe doesn't get screwed by it.
If Will is back in the game I will drop out in protest at the changed challenge result. So there ya go, if Will is dumped it's all my fault okay.
